I've always wanted to go off and have some crazy adventure overseas. One where i'd be running around helping some kid read or have clean food and water. While there's lots of need in America for help and service, it's a freaking huge world out there! There's so much need on this planet for love and helping hands. After seeing a few friends go and return from service trips, I made up my mind i'd do it too. I researched several programs and found one that seemed perfect. I set my plans for the future and was determined to go in about a year. Then one amazing day, about two weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to go during spring semester. It was a crazy idea. A "drop everything and leave" kind of idea. But i've come to know that crazy people do crazy things and i am no exception. It's now official that i will be leaving the first week in January to teach english to some kidlings in Lithuania! It's going to be amazing and scary and fun and freezing but i can't wait to get started!
For everyone who didn't know (or didn't google it ), Lithuania is in europe next to other way cool countries.
So! I leave in about two weeks. So little time and so much to do! A few people have asked if there was anyway they could help. My humble answer is YES! There are several supplies i need to help with teaching activities and I would love it if you could help me get some! I have not yet recieved an official list but will need craft supplies like yarn, felt, googely eyes, and pipe cleaners. Anything you could donate would be wonderful! If you are interested in donating shoot me a text or facebook message and i'll let you know when i get the list! Thanks so much! I love you all and am excited to share my next adventure with you!
